Caption on the back of the photo says: 'CHURCH BOMBED IN MILL STRIKE COMMUNITY. Police and militiamen patrolled the Schoolfield Mill Area at Newton, Va., with increased vigilance following the demolition of the Pentecost Holiness Church by a dynamite blast. The church's congregation consisted largely of non-union workers of mills where a stike was in progress. The pastor of the church preached a sermon recently in which he was said to have taken to task the 4,000 strikers. No one was injured. Above is view of the destroyed structure.'
