Richard Baggs (1910-1986) was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God who lived in Savage, Maryland in 1947. His wife, Thelma Baggs (1915-1995) later became a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God. Doris E. Pelley (1917-1982) and E. Raymond Pelley (1907-1976) were ordained ministers with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland. Camp Emmanuel was the location of the summer camp meeting of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland, held in Long Pond Manuels, and 1947 was the first year the camp meeting was held.
