Description:
|
Jones, along with C. H. Mason and others, separated from their Baptist churches and formed an association which took on the name Church of God or Church of God in Christ. Following their division in 1907 over the issue of tongues, Mason kept that name and constituted the leading black Pentecostal body in the United States. Jones maintained the other faction and took on the name Church of Christ (Holiness) USA. This book, which supports the current operations and gifts of the Spirit, was written while Jones was still pastor of a black Baptist church.
