Authorized by the Executive Presbytery, June 6, 1989, the General Superintendent's Medal of Honor is an award of the highest degree presented to outstanding laypersons of the Assemblies of God who have distinguished themselves through meritorious service to God, the church, community, and fellowcitizens. This honor is presented by the general superintendent at a General Council in session. The award may be presented posthumously.
