Description:	J. S. Secrist was a minister of the Church of the Brethren when he arrived in the area of Olympia, WA, about 1907 and helped organize a church. Sometime in the next decade he embraced Pentecostalism and was the founding pastor of the Assembly of God in Olympia (now Evergreen Christian Center or Evergreen Community Center). This church was chartered in 1917. Secrist believed in conditional immortality (the annihilation of the wicked). This issue has a major article on that topic.
