Description:

Lydia was encouraged by her son-in-law, Gerhart Buchfink, to write down memories of her past. She began around 1955 and added in following years as she recalled events that were important. The account was handwritten by Lydia and was recopied exactly as written by her daughter, Martha (Tillie) Metz. It was computerized by Martha's daughter, Karen Metz Webber, in 2008.
