Manuel Angel Espinosa (1939-1987) was born in Cuba and was a political prisoner under the Castro regime. He came to the United States in 1962 and became well-known for his public criticism of Fidel Castro. He became a Pentecostal in 1972, he was ordained by the Iglesia Evangelica Pentecostal (Miami, FL) in 1974, and he started his own congregation, Iglesia Evangelica Pentecostal (Hialeah, FL), in 1975.
