Minutes of the General Council

In addition to the minutes of the sessions of the biennial General Council meetings, the minutes may include various reports and financial reports. Early minutes also included a list of ministers.

The minutes normally include the current version of the Assemblies of God constitution and bylaws. Beginning with 2021, the Constitution and Bylaws were not included in the Minutes.

The microfilm holdings also include financial reports (1923, 1927, 1933, 1941, 1957-1959, 1961, 1963, and 1965).

Original minutes prior to 1937 may be damaged to varying degrees.

Two sets of minutes (April and November) were produced in 1914, then annually through 1921. From 1923 forward, the General Council has been held biennially.

Additional materials pertaining to the General Council sessions are filed chronologically with the minutes. This may include reports, financial statements, programs, etc.

Beginning with 2021, all copies are computer prints as the Minutes were no longer issued as a printed document.
