Axel B. Ost, an immigrant from Sweden, was ordained by the Swedish Evangelical Mission Covenant Church of America. He was baptized in the Holy Spirit in the 1940s and became an independent Pentecostal pastor and evangelist. He had connections to the Independent Assemblies of God (later the Fellowship of Christian Assemblies). Ost founded the Christian Fellowship Union and served as editor of its periodical, Old Time Religion.
