Description:
|
This file consists of articles from the Pentecostal Evangel, and excerpts from General Council minutes.
The significance of this conference has been cited as the turning point when A/G Foreign Missions took charge and planned strategy for returning missionaries as well as for sending new missionaries to the field.
The purpose for the conference was stated by Noel Perkin in the Apr 10, 1943 Pentecostal Evangel: 'The purpose...was that we might prayerfully consider the needs of the mission field in the light of present world conditions and determine...how most effectively to meet these needs. Consideration was also given to the probable situation that will confront us in the post-war era so that we might be making tentative plans for a great forward move as soon as the doors again swing open to greater missionary endeavor.'
