In 1955, the institution was incorporated under the name Bethany Bible College. It became Bethany College in 1990, Bethany University in 2005, and closed in 2011. Various letters and reports concerning the future of Glad Tidings Bible Institute between the school and executive leadership of the Assemblies of God.
