The Dixons were in China in the early part of the 20th century. They shared a house with Paul and Nellie Bettex; had some connections with the Garrs and the Semples. In fact, they sang at Robert Semple's funeral.
They applied for credentials with the A/G, but their view on initial evidence resulted in their not being approved.
Note from the donor: Some of the topics addressed are: the holiness Quakers (especially in southern California, Ohio, and North Carolina); the initial evidence controversy; the interaction between holiness Quakers, the Christian & Missionary Alliance, and early Pentecostalism; women in ministry (especially missions); the emergence of Pentecostalism in northeastern Ohio (Cleveland & Alliance areas); and, most importantly, the early Pentecostal missions efforts in South China, ca 1908-1912).
