Title:

The interpreter.

Publisher:

[Zion, IL : Church of Jesus Christ Gnostic], 2019-

Format:

v. : ill. ; 28 cm.

Description:

Seth Williams, founder of Church of Jesus Christ Gnostic, began publication of The Interpreter with the 28:1 (Spring 2019) issue. It is a continuation of Conrad Gaard's periodical by the same title, which was published from 1939 to 1968. Gaard was the founder of The Destiny of America Foundation, an organization that promoted Anglo-Israelism. Gaard taught the Two Seed-Line Dualist interpretation of the Bible. Gaard died in 1969, and Muriel H. Schmidt became second president that same year. In 2016, Williams became the third president of The Destiny of America Foundation. Williams, whose family had been associated with Anglo-Israel supporters John Alexander Dowie (a proto-Pentecostal) and F. F. Bosworth (a Pentecostal), further developed the idea that Anglo-Israelism not only had roots in Christianity, but also in Gnosticism.

The Spring 2019 issue includes biographical sketches of John H. Dequer, Conrad Gaard, and Seth Williams.
