Description:
|
The Angelic Gospel Singers were one of the most well-known female black gospel groups during their storied career spanning 6 decades (1944-2008). The group leader, Margaret Allison, grew up in a Pentecostal church and joined a COGIC church at age 12. It is unknown if she, or the group, maintained Pentecostal ties, but the group did maintain its traditional gospel style of music.
