Nathan H. Harriman (1850?-1922) graduated from Harvard (1877) and also attended Bangor Theological Seminary. As a pastor, he primarily served Congregational and Baptist congregations. However, for seven years he identified with radical Holiness groups. In 1897, he left his Baptist church in Tacoma, Washington, and founded Ecclesia Pentecostal Missionary Association. He subsequently affiliated his congregation with Frank W. Sandford of Shiloh, Maine. Harriman parted ways with Sandford in 1903.
