Description:
|
Item consists of artwork depicting Queen Esther as she enters the throne room to ask the king to spare the lives of the Jewish people. Artwork is done by adding layers of material, constituting a 'flannelgraph' portrait. Framed.
Rev. Favro originated this style of artwork, using layers of colored cloth that would adhere together. The process became known as flannelgraph.
Although active in wider evangelical circles earlier in his career, Rev. Favro and his wife, Alice Mae, attended the Garr Memorial Church, an Assemblies of God church in Charlotte, NC, in their later years.
The glass on this frame is broken.
