Evangelistic Temple, founded by E. N. and Raymond T. Richey, was destroyed by fire on February 3, 1932. A new structure was built on the same site. Later that building was sold to the city of Houston, and the congregation moved to a different location, eventually using the name of New Evangelistic Temple (NET).
