William M. Skaggs (1887-1924) received the Holy Spirit as a young married man. When this occurred, his wife divorced him. He later married a Pentecostal lady who had been widowed. Because of his marital status, he was unable to be credentialed with the Assemblies of God, but he remained loyal to the AG Fellowship and he and his second wife traveled around preaching the Pentecostal messsage until his death from pneumonia at the age of 37. His home church was the Assembly of God in Greenwood, Arkansas.
Holdings: Biographical sketch / by his granddaughter, Linda Skaggs Lowe. -- Receipts from the Assemblies of God Foreign Missions Department from the 1920s, signed by J. Roswell Flower.
