Buddy Hicks was ordained with the Assemblies of God for a few years. He was the youth pastor at Evangelistic Temple (Houston, TX) in the early 1970s. He led a prolonged youth revival, called Youthquake, which was associated with the Jesus People movement. After leaving that church, he led his own evangelistic ministry for a number of years.
