Title:

Gracious gospel [4 vols.]

Publisher:

Portland, OR : Gilbert Christian Assembly, [1970s?]

Format:

v. ; 22 cm.

Description:

Gilbert Christian Assembly (Portland, OR), a Pentecostal congregation, taught the doctrines of British Israelism and ultimate reconciliation (universalism). Norman A. Wilcox served as pastor at the time of this book's publication. The congregation apparently was connected with the Christian Assemblies of the World, a like-minded organization headquartered in Portland. Volume one includes a chapter (p. 77-78) about the history of the congregation. William Owen, a preacher who was forced to leave the United Brethren Church because he spoke in tongues, was an early pastor (1920s?) of the congregation and also was a leader in the Christian Assemblies of the World. Leading members of the congregation also included Jesse Lee Michael and Lulu May Holmes.
