Description:

Description: Press photo of Rev. Wallace Heflin, Jr. looking at shelves of canned food at his End Time Foods, Inc. store in Richmond, Virginia; July 1980.

Photograph is stamped on the back with a date of July 21, 1980.

Caption on the back of the photo reads: THE WORLD'S MOST PRECIOUS COMMODITY. The Rev. Wallace Heflin Jr. surveys shelves of canned food at his End Time Foods Inc. store in Richmond, Va. The cans hold dehydrated food--'Store a year's supply of food under your bed,' say the company's ads. Heflin says he is a realist who sees trouble ahead and the time when food will become the world's most precious commodity. Heflin is pastor of Richmond's Calvary Pentecostal tabernacle: his church and his business are entirely separate.
