Northwood Bible School (Northwood, NH) was established in 1940 as a ministry of Lawrence Street Pentecostal Chapel (Concord, NH). The church's pastor, Jessie Evangeline Barney, directed the school. Her husband, George Verne Barney, was a dairy farmer and assisted with the church and school. The school merged into New England Bible Institute (Framingham, MA) in 1952.

Caption with the photograph says: Northwood has welcomed a new institution among its halls of learning, the Northwood Bible school, which was officially launched a few weeks ago.
