The Overcoming Church of God, an African-American Oneness Pentecostal denomination, was founded in 1919 in Atlanta by L. M. (Lattace M.) Mitchell (1872-1966). He was previously affiliated with W. E. Fuller and the Colored Fire Baptized Holiness Church. Churches were located primarily in Georgia and Alabama.
Edna L. Davis (1907?-1995) served as pastor of Overcoming Church of God Faith Temple (Atlanta, GA) from 1957(?) until 1993.
