Bill Moss was a well-known singer, composer, and producer. Among other endeavors, he organized a group called the Celestials about 1960. This group had various members over the years. Much of that time included his wife, Essie Moss. This version consists of Bill Moss, Essie Moss, and their daughter, Theresa Moss. Bill was the brother of legendary COGIC singer and choir director Mattie Moss Clark.
Missionary Essie Moss was a well-known COGIC singer in her own right. She was a frequent soloist in addition to her work with the Celestials.
Bill Moss composed 9 of the 10 songs on this album (one with his son, Bill Moss, Jr.).
Side 1: Jesus said, Hold on, I'm coming -- Joy is waiting for you -- Lord, You made it rain for me -- The memory of Dr. Martin Luther King -- The problem is -- Side 2: Lord, I thank You for my miracle -- I won't turn back, No! No! No! -- Jesus to comfort me -- I ain't gonna sing no rock and roll -- The Christmas spirit in the air
