Description: Press photo of Rev. Ike speaking from a pulpit; February 1975.
Caption on the back of the photograph says: EXCLUSIVE TO YOU IN YOUR CITY. HE'S REV. IKE--Wealthy, worldly and flamboyant, Rev. Ike is one of the country's most controversial preachers. 'The lack of money,' he says, 'is the root of all evil.' NBC News' late-night TV magazine, 'Weekend,' will present a profile of him as part of its Saturday, Feb. 15, edition (11:30 p.m.-1 a.m. NYT). (In some areas the program will be colorcast Sunday, Feb. 16, in the same time period.) The story was filmed in Rev. Ike's block-long church in New York City (shown here), in one of his homes (in Hollywood), and on the road.
Photograph is stamped on the back with a date of February 20, 1975.
