Title:

Report of the Treasurer of the Ark.-La. District Council [1937]

Format:

3 p. ; 42 cm.

Description:

The Arkansas District was first formed in 1914 with E. R. Fitzgerald being the first District Superintendent. Geographically, the Arkansas District seems to have covered Arkansas, and much of Louisiana. Later the District became officially known as the Arkansas-Louisiana District. The date of this name change is unknown, yet the first correspondence of the Arkansas-Louisiana District with a self-titled header dates 1928. In 1937, Louisiana became a separate district with E. L. Tanner as the first District Superintendent. As a result, Arkansas reverted back to its original name as the Arkansas District.

The report covered Feb. 1-28, 1937. The Secretary-Treasuerer at the time was Charles Pepper. This document is filed in the Arkansas-Louisiana District correspondence file (33/4/1).
