Description:
|
Brief report on Apostolic Faith campmeeting at Eureka Springs, Arkansas, July, 1911. Many early Pentecostals used the term 'Apostolic Faith.'
Campmeetings held at Eureka Springs 1912-1914 were associated with the Churches of God in Christ and served as a precursor to the formation of the Assemblies of God. There is no indication whether this camp in 1911 was specifically a part of the same organizing movement.
Due to poor visual quality of the original, a transcription of the article is also included in the file.
Also included in the file is brief notice of the 'holy roller camp meeting' from another paper in a section on happenings in Eureka Springs (1911 July 21; Green Forest, AR, Tribune; Eureka Springs splashes; p. 2).
