Oral history interview submitted for Pentecostal Foundations class at Evangel College with George R. Stotts as instructor.
Student interviewer comments: John Richards, a resident of Maranatha, Springfield, Mo., was born in 1904. His parents came into Pentecost about 1906 and became missionaries to East Africa. Brother Richards then, from year eight grew up on the field. At the age of 18 he became the youngest appointed missionary for the Assemblies of God. At the time of the interview, October 24, 1975, Brother Richards at the age of 71 seemed quite capable of remembering details of his experiences. His articulation is clear, and he showed no signs of senility of his mind. His interview is important because it shows the methods of early Pentecostal missionaries of East and South Africa.
Russell Rutler interviews John S. Richards, former missionary to South Africa.
