Description:

The missionary home at 73 Highbury, New Park, London, was established by Mrs. Margaret Cantel in 1910. It served as a rest home for missionaries traveling to and from the field and also accommodated other travelers who visited or passed through London. Pentecostal meetings were also held there. It was in one of those meetings that Donald Gee received the baptism in the Holy Spirit in 1913. Mrs. Cantel passed away in 1926. The home was continued for a brief time by colleagues Miss Grundberg and Miss Kingston and then was taken over by Mr. & Mrs. G. J. Tilling, who managed the home until it closed. The building was sold in 1939 and was converted into apartments, but one of the apartments was reserved to serve as the Missionary office of the Assemblies of God in Great Britain and Ireland.
