Gilbert N. Holloway (1915-2002) emerged as a metaphysical teacher and psychic in the 1930s. He founded New Age Church of Truth (Miami, FL) in 1956. His wife, June, was raised in an Assemblies of God church. By the 1960s, he had a national following as a psychic and claimed that a UFO contacted him. He moved to Deming, New Mexico, in 1965, where he established Christ Light Community Church. In July 1967, he had a Pentecostal experience, renounced the occult, and for about one year traveled as a Pentecostal evangelist. However, he soon introduced occult concepts into his teachings. He moved in both fringe Pentecostal and occult circles for several years, until his Pentecostal connections faded away.
