Press photograph. caption says: WIDOW OF ZION FOUNDER MAY LOSE HOME. Mrs. John Alexander Dowie, widow of the founder of the Apstolic Church of Zion, is faced with the loss of her home, the famouse Shiloh House at Zion City, Ill., because of default on a mortgage. A court at Waukegan, Ill., has granted Mrs. Dowie and her son, the Rev. A. J. Gladstone Dowie until Aug. 15 to meet a $10,000 mortgage. Mrs. Dowie's husband was succeeeded by the famous Wilbur Glenn Voliva, who professes to believe the world is flat. The Dowies recently inherited a fortune in Australia, but assert they have been unable to transfer their resources here.
